You can order most bikes & all cycle parts, clothing & hard wear by mail order or reserve & collect. Some cycle brands are only available for shop collection, if orders are place for these brands of bike we will notify you immediately.
We will notify you by email or phone when we have received your order. We will also contact you if we have query with your order.
DECLINING AN ORDER
We may decline an order if
- The goods ordered are out of stock
- Where payment cannot be obtained
- If the product has a description error
- If the product has a pricing error
- You will be notified by email or phone if we decline an order.
TITLE OF GOODS
All goods remain the property of THE BIKE SHOP DERBY until full payment has been received.
CREDIT CARD USE
All credit card transactions are placed on a secure web server. Check for the locked padlock symbol in the status bar on your internet browser. If you prefer not to use the internet please call use on 01332 382227 ask for sales.
We are able to accept most debit & credit cards or use paypal. Some restrictions apply to switch & electron transactions. Cheques & postal orders are also welcome but funds will need to be cleared before dispatch or collection. Please make cheques payable to THE BIKE SHOP.
ON LINE PRICING
We endeavour to keep the prices & descriptions of all the goods on this site up to date & accurate, but errors may occur. If we find an error in the price or description of an item you have ordered then we will contact you as soon as possible. You will be given the opportunity to either reconfirm your order with the correct price / description or to cancel the transaction & receive a full refund. All prices shown are inclusive of VAT at the current rate.
We do not accept any responsibility or liability for any damage or injury caused by parts supplied being fitted incorrectly or being used not for the purpose for which they were intended. We strongly advise that all parts supplied are fitted by a competent cycle mechanic. Any parts fitted just to try out will not be accepted for exchange or refund.
All are geared cycles are fully built in our own workshop and road tested where possible. We then disassemble the cycle so it will fit into a large box for dispatch.
When the cycle is received some minor assembly and setting will be required.
Advice on assembly will be included in the box. We have cycle mechanics available to talk you though any stages of the reassembly. Please phone 01332 382227 and ask for workshop. All single speed BMX and children’s bikes are dispatched as received from the manufacture these will need assembly and setting prior to riding.
We strongly recommend that all new bikes are inspected by a cycle mechanic
to check your build and settings. This is at your expense if charged.
DELIVERY OF GOODS
We will only deliver goods to the card holder’s address. This is to eliminate card fraud.
We take your card security very seriously.
All orders are sent out within 3 working days.
We aim to send out most orders within 24 hrs.
Large items may take 3 to 4 days from the dispatch date to arrive.
Small items may take 1 to 3 days from the dispatch date to arrive.
All goods are supplied with a manufactures warranty. The warranty from most manufactures is 12 months but some offer longer periods of cover.
All warrantees cover manufacturing defects and faults but do not cover misuse or wear and tear etc. If you think you have a warranty claim please contact us prior to returning the goods. The return postage is not covered by the warranty.
Proof of purchase will be required for all claims. We may ask you to take the item to a local bike shop for appraisal.
CANCELLATION & RETURNS POLICY
- You have the right to cancel an order within 7 days from the delivery date.
- If you decide to cancel an order you must inform us by letter, email or fax and keep proof of this cancellation.
- It will be your responsibility for the cost of returning any goods supplied correctly.
- Goods supplied incorrectly and or faulty will receive a full refund including postage and packaging both ways but we must be informed of any problems within 3 days of delivery.
- All goods must be returned in the original packaging and in the condition as received.
- Customers are responsible for returned goods damaged in transit.
- All correspondence with THE BIKE SHOP DERBY must be made by traceable means.
From time to time manufactures change or alter specification of goods. We reserve the right to alter the content of this web site with out prior notice. The manufactures reserve the right to change components with out prior notice. We are not and take no responsibility or liability for any incidental, indirect, direct, punitive or consequential damages arising from the use of this site . We will also not accept any responsibility or liability for damages or viruses that your computer may suffer as a result of visiting this site. If you visit this site you do so at your own risk. We accept no responsibility for viruses found whether direct or indirectly.
